PLANNING THE TRIP

On December 11, 2024, the Republic of Korea Government extended the Korean Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) exemption for U.S. citizens visiting Korea for 90 days or less for business or tourism until December 31, 2025. However, for non-US citizens, it is advised to check with your respect countries’ embassy for specific requirements.
Foreign visitors to South Korea are required to complete an e-Arrival card, which is an electronic version of the traditional paper arrival form. This is a free process that can be completed up to three days before your arrival. The e-Arrival card can be accessed through the official website, www.e-arrivalcard.go.kr, and is available in multiple languages.
Until end of 2025 visitors have a choice to fill out the physical arrival card once they reach South Korea or fill out the online version before flying out. However, from 2026 all visitors will have to fill out the e-arrival card. The option to fill out the physical card won’t be available.
